Bottom Drinking Game

With the holiday festivities came the idea of playing drinking games to our favourite TV shows. First up was Red Dwarf and a debrief of all the clauses, requirements and a hastily drawn "H" on the forehead and we were having fun.

Next show up was Bottom and a quick search on the phone resulted in no matches - it seems no-one has thought to knock together some rules for the game. We took 5 minutes out of the evening to come up with some rules and I am penning them here in a hope that someone in the future will not be out of luck like we were...

Now the thing that miffs me about TV show drinking games is where they have added additional rules that only apply to a specific episode - The Red Dwarf game we looked at was particularly guilty of this.
These rules avoid specifics although this is not an exhaustive list, feel free to expand when it comes to your next viewing.

Ok, so take one swig (or one shot if you're adventurous) for the following:

• Riche's manic laugh Ha-ha-HAAA-ha!
• Eddie takes off his hat.
• Richie rubs himself in delight.
• Any mention of girls, birds, ladies etc
• Eddie or Richie shout at someone off camera i.e. out of the window or down the stairs.
• Emmerdale Farm is mentioned.
• Eddie speaks directly to the camera.

Fights!
Pick either Richie or Eddie as "your" character, and take a swig whenever "your" guy hits the other - this counts for punching, kicking, eye-poking, breaking TV over the head, any violent act really. Drink double if the hit manages to make the other guy break through a wall, breaks stair balusters, anything broken really.
